Dubai’s World Central Airport handled almost 90,000 tons of airfreight during its first full year of operations. During its first full calendar year of operations, DWC’s average monthly air cargo volumes totaled 7,477 tons, including transit traffic of 32,989 tons – 37%. Together, Dubai’s two airports handled 2.28 million tons of airfreight in 2011, slightly up on 2010, said the operator.
