Paul Hoelting, the vice president of corporate business development for UPS Freight, has been promoted to the position of senior vice president of sales. Hoelting will succeed the retiring John Fain. Hoelting's more than two decades of experience in transportation began when he joined Union Pacific (UP) in 1990. Hoelting moved to Overnite Transportation (now UPS Freight) in 1993 when he accepted an assignment with the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier, which was then owned by UP. Since then, Hoelting has held various positions throughout the company, up to and including his most recent assignments of vice president of finance and accounting and vice president of business development.
