Global semiconductor sales totalled USD24.79bn in September, a 2.0% increase from the previous month and a 3.9% decline from the same month the previous year. In terms of year-on-year developments, sales were down in every region. Europe continued to record the greatest decline with sales down 11.1% at 2.79bn. The Americas also recorded a contraction of 3.9%. Meanwhile the Americas, Japan and the Asia Pacific region reported slightly less sharp declines of -3.9%, -4.1% and -2.4 respectively.
